Overview

ABITIBI MINING CORP. is aggressively exploring for mineral deposits in Ontario, Canada. The Company also has a joint venture project in British Columbia. Target minerals for the properties include gold & uranium in proven and past-producing areas. The company continues to evaluate its Centre Fire & Red Hat Properties in light of surface exploration conducted in 2009. These properties have proven highly prospective and our geologists are planning the next phases of exploration.

The Company recently signed agreements to acquire four prospective gold properties southwest of Timmins, Ontario. The Foleyet, Muskego, Ivanhoe, and Armstrong Lake land packages are all located along the northern side of the Destor-Porcupine Fault Zone, which is believed to be one of the major structural controls influencing the concentration of gold-bearing fluids within the Timmins Camp. Early stage prospecting and exploration on these properties has commenced.
